Mike Hilsabeck of Phoenix, AZ won the 1998 title thus being the first to clinch 4 CIFCA championships. He was followed by 3-time series champ Jim Maher in 2nd place. Robert Lee, Steve Tryon, and Jim Scott (Scotty) rounding out the top five.

After the all-you-can-eat buffet the top racers were roasted and teased by the Monica Lewinski impersonator, an act that was not only in keeping with current events, but also tickled the fellas.

Once again MC Pete Mauriello entertained the group with jokes and games. Ken Kraus was awarded the Perma-Cool Burnout King. The Tavia Quick Reaction Time and Made for You Best ET honors went to Jim Maher. Bill Ogle was the lucky recipient of the Hard Luck award and Randy Smith earned Rookie of the Year honors. Tony & Lori Rishton were named "Sportsman(s) of the Year" while CIFCA's Race Director, Todd Freier, was presented the Outstanding Club Member award.
