Coors 32 Funny Cars Lee Tighten up Points Standings The third stop on the circuit this year was the prestigious Coors 32 Funny Cars. This annual event draws one of the largest crowd and produces some extreme competition. A record 19 CIFCA funny cars pulled through the gates producing a tough 16 car show.     Robert Lee victorious at Firebird International Raceway.       Mike Savage, last week winner at Speedworld, piloted Jim Broome's Firenza to the number 1 position with a 7.53. In a rematch of last week final, Savage fell to Sean Dale during first round of eliminations. 1999 CIFCA champ Robert Lee muscled his Firebird past some heavy hitters into the final round. He faced Mike Halstead at the wheel of  Clement & Robertson Tempo. Halstead put a tenth in the bank off the line but Lee drove around on the top end with a 7.55 - 7.69 victory.     Mike Halstead was runner up in the Clement & Robertson Tempo.       Bob Godfrey left the track a $100 richer thanks to his .405 light, courtesy of Enderle Fuel Injection. Hilsabeck smoked the competition during the Perma-Cool Burnout Challenge netting his Arizona Thunder team a 100 bucks. Bob Godfreys quick foot gave him a lift to win the Enderle quick reaction victory.     A record turnout coupled with superb performance. The CIFCA circuit is enjoying tremendous growth and good times. Thanks to all of the teams for their untiring efforts. You have a circuit to be proud of.
